You have met this girl whom you are greatly inclined towards, but she's playing hard to get and you have managed from the cyber world, only her e-mail id. What do you do? Well, for starters, don't call it quits, because in this world of internet, her email address is more than enough to get to her. However, since she is being pricey, you must strategise your every move carefully.
1. Study her online profiles
All of us are members of the online generation so it is unlikely that your girl won't have her professional as well as social profiles online. Go through her profiles in detail and figure if she is single. If she is taken, move on, and if she is single, read on. See in her friends list if you have any common friends that you didn't know about. This common friend could then play the cupid and introduce you. Also, check if you are a member of any common groups, this could serve as a connecting point.
2. Get her interested in you
Identify her blog, drop interesting comments on her posts and even tag your posts wherever necessary. If she has uploaded a photo, take a hint and tag another photo that might interest her, if she loves travelling and has written a travelogue, tag one of yours. And of course, if you run an intriguing blog, leave a lead for her to follow you there. However, don't add her as a friend yet; that will only reflect that you are desperate. In fact, get her so interested that she sends you a friend request.
3. Cash on the common interests
Now that you have already made her feel your presence in the online space, get ready to mail her. Identify a common interest that could work as the binding factor by browsing through social networking sites like Orkut and Facebook. If she likes writing poetry and you are good at penning verses too, write a poem about how much you are pining to see her again and mail it to her. Or if you both are trekking or river rafting enthusiasts, propose an adventure evening revolving around the same. With such a focused email going to her, you are sure to get a response in the least.
4. Never ever send a direct mail asking her out
A direct mail asking her out is completely avoidable, because if she were friendly as to reply to your mail asking her to meet up, why would she play elusive about giving her contact details. Also, by directly mailing her to meet up, you would take her by surprise and make her feel stalked. After all, she didn't give her email id to you. Hence, writing an interesting, focused mail as described above is the only way to do it.
5. Do it now
If you met this girl 2 months ago, but you are writing an email to her now, she may not even remember you. It's best to quickly think up your next step soon after you meet her and mail her accordingly. For all you know, in 2 months this single girl may not remain single anymore.
